| Lori Watsen, PresidentLori Watsen is a Lecturer/Assistant Professor for the University of Utah's College of Social Work. Lori received her MSW from Boise State in 2002. She worked for many years providing clinical and practical support for people with cancer and their families at Saint Alphonsus Cancer Care Center, St. Luke's Mountain States Tumor Institute, and at the Boise VA Medical Center. Lori is a registered Clinical Social Work supervisor. She is invested in supporting the professional growth and knowledge of social workers here in Idaho. |
Charles S. Pohl, Vice President & TreasurerCharles S. Pohl LCSW,CGP has been in the mental health/substance use disorder field almost his entire adult life having his first undergraduate field placement in 1972 at a halfway house for patients being discharged from the Allentown State Hospital (PA) during the height of the deinstitutionalization movement. He received his MSW from the University of Utah in 1981. He has worked at a variety of outpatient and inpatient mental health settings and recently retired from the Boise VA Medical Center earlier this year after over 20 years of outpatient service including coordinating the MSW Intern Program and facilitating the psychiatric residency group program. Charlie continues working part time with the residency and as a consultant from his home. |

Sheila Weaver, Member at Large Sheila Weaver is the Program Manager for the Family Caregiver Navigator Project and adjunct faculty within the School of Social Work at Boise State University. She is a practicing therapist at a local agency. She earned an MSW and BSW with a minor in Gerontology and a certificate of Dispute Resolution from Boise State University. She has a background in caregiving, child protection, homelessness, substance use, and mental health treatment. She is proud to have worked in state government since 2005 serving Idahoans in a variety of roles. In her spare time, Sheila enjoys walking her dog and laughing a little too loudly with loved ones. |
| Les Szasz, Member at Large Les is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker who owns a private counseling practice, Still Meadow Counseling LLC (SMC). SMC serves clients in Ohio via Telehealth. Les is also a Licensed Independent Social Worker-Supervisor in Ohio. He will soon be joining Heart and Mind Counseling LLC in Boise where he will be seeing clients in person or via Telehealth, depending on client preference. Les specializes in treating Complex Post Traumatic Stress Disorder, Severe Depression, Anxiety, Eating Disorders and have a lot of experience in working with Autistic clients. He is working toward becoming a Certified Autism Specialist. He is a Certified Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing Therapist as well as being a Certified Trauma-Focused-Cognitive Behavior Therapist. Les has 10 years of clinical experience. He graduated with a Master of Social Work degree from Ohio State University, cum laude, Clinical Track. |
| Stacey Lewis, Member at Large Stacey Lewis earned an MSW from Boise State University in 2001. She briefly worked for the State of Idaho in Adult Mental Health, but most of her professional experience has been in medical social work. Stacey worked in the CARES program and as an inpatient social worker at St Luke’s Medical Center. She currently works for the Boise VA Medical Center where she has held positions in outpatient social work and the Caregiver Support Program. Stacey is a Certified Case Manager. She also holds the following certifications: Certified Social Worker in Health Care and Clinical Social Worker in Gerontology. |
Lynn Rice, Member at Large Lynn Rice is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker who lives and works in Twin Falls Idaho. Lynn received her master’s degree in social work from Northwest Nazarene University in 2015. Prior to working in the field of Social Work Lynn worked in the field as an Occupational Therapist Assistant treating individuals of all ages and in a variety of settings for more than 20 years. Lynn is a registered Clinical Social Work supervisor and has a passion and love for helping and teaching others in the field of social work. |
